SLEEP
Never in 80 years has sleep ever posed a question. I do it differently from most people I know. When I am tired I go to sleep. Closing my eyes has never been a problem. Neither has opening them. When my infants would cry I could wake and experience joy in tending them. Once I paid $32.00 for a performance and slept right through the whole thing. It was easy. Ah, sleep, isn’t it Devine?
Except for an occasional nightmare and in and out moments of lucid dreaming, I am blissful and relaxed, at least I think that is what I am experiencing. How can I be sure? When I am out it means the same as being gone. And when I am awake I feel delicious. Perhaps it is the newly awake clean palate part of sleep that I enjoy the most. That is why I am not adverse to hurry to sleep so I can experience a clean slate again.
Did I mention that I am not really eighty? And do I need to tell you which part of this story is the lie?
